Your profile: Strong writing skills, from in-depth features to listicles Native-level Mandarin is required. Strong proficiency in English is desirable Experience writing for online Mandarin-language publications in travel, arts and culture Creative and full of great ideas for distinctive and engaging stories for a Chinese audience Strong research and communication skills with an interest in, and sensitivity to, cultural nuances In-depth knowledge of your location, from local cultures to customs and the latest trends Good understanding of Chinese social media platforms A degree in journalism or equivalent experience is highly desirable Some practical points: We'll offer varied commissions, based on your experience and expertise, and we welcome your pitches too.
