Direct claim letter

SCENARIO You are the Accounting Assistant for Globex Corporation. On June 3, 2020, you called World Sunshine Telecom and arranged for them to send a worker on June 10 to install your new router and set up the internet connection in your office. To install this equipment, the worker would have to drill a half-inch hole in your wall and pull a wire from the next office into yours. You were told you would be charged a one-time installation fee of $320.00. Following the conversation, you sent an email in which you gave specific instructions on where you wanted the router located. Because you knew you would be out of town when the installation was done, you even drew a map of your office indicating where you wanted the router and the equipment to be placed. You scanned and emailed the map as an attachment. Upon returning from your trip on June 17, you discovered that the router had been installed in the wrong location and the internet connection had not been activated. Your assistant has already sent a cheque to pay World Sunshine Telecom’s invoice #36264 for $320.00. You need this problem fixed by July 10, which is when your annual office inspection takes place. TASK Write a correctly formatted direct claim responding to this situation, addressed to James Kirk, Customer Service Manager for Business Accounts at World Sunshine Telecom.
