I have extensive experience and farmiliarity with the financial markets (equities, commodities -- futures, spotFX and their derivatives .. options). I had a double major in college (engineering and economics) and follow cnbc as well as read fortune magazine.
Given my experience and knowledgebase, I am in a solid position to provide commentary on the stock market. Whether it concerns the daily fluctuations and why they exist, or a basic fundamental assessment of the market (from technical indicators, to corporate performance, to the impact of macro economic events and governmental policies).
Having been a market participant for so many years, I am keenly aware that not everything the 'analysts' proclaim has sound basis. I focus on the fundamentals and how they impact individual stock prices, sector action (ex: if apple posts lower than expected earnings it is likely to impact all players in the technology sector) as well as aggregate impetus (declaration of a trade war with china is likely to have a broad impact on the market).
There are a variety of angles from which the stock market may be accessed. From an investor (long-term) perspective to a trader (short-term) perspective.
