I know of a child who was raised for the first two years of his life by a foster family then returned to his family. Once again he was beaten, abused and caught into a family of drug users. At age 6 he ended up in an orphanage. After 60 days he had no visits from family or friends. He was a nobody to everybody. The foster mother was contacted and told of the boys plight. She had long since. Given up fostering children it was just too hard to let go. Hearing the boy’s plight she went to visit him at the orphanage. The boy being two when he left didn't recognize her. She introduced herself and explained their past and played with him for the hour being limited by the strict visiting times. As she was ready to leave the boy was sad to see her go. Do you want a hug she asked, the boy run and jumped into her arms and cried. The foster mother is being pushed through the system and arrangement made to once again bring the boy into her home. One person can make a difference.
