We are rewriting our web application from Backbone to Angular. We hacked a solution in Backbone to allow a user to navigate to different views without destroying thier current view. The application leaves behind breadcrumbs for the user to jump back to a previous view.

One solution would be to open links in a new browser tab, but our user base is so used to the current interface / flow (as shown in the video) that we would prefer to duplicate the functionality in Angular.
The question is 1) is this do-able in Angular and if so 2) how painful will it be?
We are looking for an Angular guru who can answer a few email questions to point our team in the right direction. Willing to pay $75/hr of time spent.
