#### Create Android Foreground Service in [login to view URL] #### ## Qualifications for the job * You need to be experienced in [login to view URL] app development and know how to create, start and stop a foreground service in a [login to view URL] project. * You should be able to test the application running in visual studio and on a physical Android device. Not a simulator. ## Project repository You will be working in a Xamarin Forms project in the Android Project only. When running the [login to view URL] project on a physical android device a page will open starting a video player running a movie. Below the movie, there will be a start foreground service button and a stop foreground service button. These buttons are already connected to a class ([login to view URL]) in the android project that will receive an event when buttons are clicked. Their job will be to start and stop a foreground service in the Android project. You will receive a link to the repository when we have agreed to work together. ## Your job Your job will be to implement this foreground service via [login to view URL] in the android project so it can be started via the start button and stopped by the stop button. The main idea is that video will keep playing when the app is going into the background and when the display is in battery save mode because of the foreground service will make sure that the app is not deprived of resources from the system. ## Accept Criteria * Foreground service will start when start foreground service is clicked in the android project * Foreground service will stop when stop foreground service is clicked in the android project * Foreground service will work with Android 6.0 up till Android 10 * Foreground service will keep video playing in the background and when the display goes into battery save mode. * It should be possible to use other apps like Facebook, browser, etc without interrupting video running * It should be possible to receive phone calls without interrupting video running * It should be possible to play a video that is 3 hours long as a foreground service while the user uses other apps on the phone (e.g. Facebook, Snapchat, browser, etc,), the display is in battery save mode, receive phone calls without interrupting the video running, etc. (It is very important that the app will play the entire 3 hours long movie without stopping the movie) #### Questions #### #### Questions #### #### Questions #### ## Question 1 ## Do you have the skills to do this work? ## Question 2 ## Have you worked with foreground services in [login to view URL] before?
