I hold a PhD in electrical engineering (signal processing) from one of the top Canadian universities. I have an MSc in mathematics (numerical methods). I worked as an assistant professor for 4 years in both the electrical engineering department and the mathematics and engineering physics department. I worked for 8 years (and this is my current position) as an R&D engineer in Toronto developing advanced signal processing algorithms for our next generation sensors. I am familiar with biomedical engineering: I supervised a few graduation projects in this field (a numerical model for the human ear, quantifying the role of TFS and envelope cues for human speech perception, early detection of the onset of epilepsy seizures, palm veins detection and classification). I have 20 years of MATLAB and SIMULINK professional development.
