New Content Wanted for Human Rights Research Center

I run a startup nonprofit (NGO) research center with 501(c)(3) status. We focus broadly on human rights issues in the United States, as well as major human rights events worldwide. Our content is multidisciplinary, most often coming from political scientists, sociologists, economists, lawyers, and artists of all kinds. Applicants/bidders should be at least 75% finished with an undergraduate degree and should be proficient/fluent in English (fluency in other languages is a plus). Graduate/law students and professionals holding graduate degrees are preferred. Professional experience in the human rights field may be substituted for college and graduate education. If possible, please provide a writing sample on any topic (it does not have to relate to human rights, although that would be helpful). Applicants should be able to show knowledge of or a demonstrated interested in human rights (or in any topic that would qualify as a theme within human rights, such as civil rights, LGBT rights, criminal justice reform, prison reform, and so forth). For qualified applicants/bidders, the goal would be to start with some blog posts on a topic chosen in consultation with each other, at a rate of $1 per 100 words (so $5 for a 500-word blog post; $10 for 1000 words). We can also discuss pay rates for non-written content (videos, photographs, paintings, etc.) and the possibility of writing more substantive content beyond a normal blog post (research reports, investigative reports, policy proposals). All content must be 100% original, not elsewhere published, and with appropriate bibliography (links to references in blog posts, or academic citations in reports/proposals). Style and formatting can be discussed before you begin writing. We will also discuss byline credit and licensing terms before you begin writing/researching. Ideally, we're looking to find a few freelancers to submit one or two pieces to start. If your work seems like a good fit for our organization, we would be interested in talking about something more long-term (in the form of ongoing blog submissions or commitment to a larger ongoing research project, for example).
