I am an academic writer and have experience writing essays, research papers, and I wrote my own dissertation for my doctorate. I write in APA style only. My main knowledge base is in psychology (which covers a wide array of topics).
I am not sure what your deadlines are, so it would difficult to answer the next question; however, I am open for discussion on this. When I was in school, I was never late with a paper.
This is a excerpt from a paper I wrote:
Qualitative Perspectives in Handwriting
The focus of this study is to investigate handwriting as a holistic tool in self-understanding. In the past, handwriting analysis or graphology has been relegated to a pseudo-science because there has been no standardization between graphologists, who are also called handwriting analysts. Yet, graphologists utilize their intuition and judgment in many of their interpretations, which is impossible to standardize. They go beyond just performing measurements to a level of weighing traits in handwriting like the slant or size with personality traits. It is more of a blending of experience, actual writings by individuals, and intuition that renders the best interpretations of a person’s writing. Graphologists want to find meaning or explore the phenomenology by utilizing their senses in their interpretations. This type of process is a qualitative effort except for the actual measurement of a writer’s physical writing traits, which is quantitative in nature. Delving into the qualitative aspects of handwriting will supersede the quantitative aspects in this project.
Some possible long-term applications of using handwriting as a self-discovery tool include developing a projective means to assist therapy clients, employers, employment applicants, and students in determining their distinctiveness in understanding themselves. Self-understanding through handwriting determinants could shed light upon directional aspirations, motivations, and adaptations to goals in therapy, or for potential vocations in the workforce. For example, from an employer’s perspective, identifying introverted people for accountant positions and extraverted people for sales positions could prove valuable. From students’ or applicants’ perspectives, self-awareness of temperament and aptitude could steer them in the right direction toward job satisfaction. From a therapy client’s perspective, self-understanding is an excellent place to start in resolving psychological issues. Projective methods can be suited for most languages, age levels or educational levels unlike self-report measurements, where reading ability is important. Quantitatively, after determining if there are any relationships between self-report personality measurements and handwriting traits, handwriting could be used alone toward self-understanding. Rather than performing a mixed methods research project, it seems practical to follow-up a quantitative study with a qualitative one. This proposal is devised with the assumption that the above relationships have been proven quantitatively.
