Convert 32-bit WinApp functionality into a Web Console

This project is to take an existing enterprise application, that currently lacks a web console and creating one from scratch.
This particular application runs on a MS SQL2005/2008 back-end database. This database has a schema, which can be accessed and the product also has a data bus/API guide for particular calls.
There is currently a Win32 application "console" to view and interact with the application. I would like to create a better laid out format and convert the same functionality to a web console.
Here are some items I would like to see.
1. A web console that is similiar to igoogle with "widgets".
2. Capability to have a charting mechanism based on metrics that are received back from the application.
3. Customizable views for each person that logs in, requiring windows authentication or sql authentication security.
4. Ideas on a graphics and icons that will be leveraged for the web page.
5. Support for all major browsers with no requirement for "plug-ins" ..... IE Firefox, IE, Chrome, etc.
This project will be pretty complicated in the back-end, but all written material exists about the core application and API guides. The work will really be about mining the proper data out of the database, rendering that in a console. It should be mentioned that the data presented could be spawned across multiple SQL servers, needing to grab them and consolidate them to one place. The web page widget sort of functionality should be fairly straightforward.
PLease provide samples of things like this you may have done in the past.
