In-Deep Community Taskforce are a small, award-winning registered charity that works mainly with elderly people in South Westminster, Lambeth and Battersea in London; offering friendship by way of a range of activities and services to people living in the area. (Charity Number: 1098270). It is run by a group of trustees and its activities are run solely by volunteers, including employee volunteers, volunteers with disabilities, students and people from the local area. One of the main aims of In-Deep Community Task Force is to bring friendship and understanding among those of different backgrounds & cultures.
In-Deep are looking for dedicated and professional freelance web developers with an understanding of the charity / non-profit sector to tender quotes and bids of work to revamp the charity’s web presence.
The current In-Deep website ([login to view URL]) is in need of a refresh to make the website discoverable to search engines, compliant to EU regulations in regard to cookies & privacy statements, enable the website to render on mobile devices, and making it accessible for the visually impaired and disabled.
Rather than building a new website from scratch, it is In-Deep’s intention to invest in a commercial off the shelf template from a third-party source such as ThemeForest and integrate it with WordPress for ease of use, which will enable volunteers to regularly manage and update content themselves as required.
As well as implementing the new responsive website theme & integrating with WordPress, other tasks the web developer will be responsible for include:
•Transfer existing website structure, URLs & content from existing website
•Implement cookie & privacy statements in-line with EU rules
•Ensure that website renders on all devices, including Mobile, and established browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox etc.)
•Ensure website is accessible to visually impaired and people with disabilities
•Add Social Media integration (buttons & likes for Twitter, Facebook etc.)
•SEO (ensuring website is discoverable / readable by search engines)
•Establish XML Sitemap
•Meta tags
Interested parties please tender quotes to the board of In-Deep trusties via Kate Newton by no later than: Sunday 31st July, 2016, stating the following:
•CV of experience (WordPress theming, PHP, Responsive HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SEO essential)
•Portfolio of previous work
•Total numbers of hours to complete the project
•Quote in £GBP for total completion of project (including VAT)
•Earliest possible date for starting work
