Automation and Control Platform - Software drivers for control of hardware and devices

We are an existing home automation solution that ships on hardware. we are migrating everything to the cloud. We need assistance to get all the drivers written for our cloud server to connect to third party devices. There is a lot of work to be done and this needs a concerted effort over the next few months and then the work will be ongoing but less intense. The applicant will understand and enjoy hardware and connectivity. RS232, TCP/IP, socket connections. You will need to be able to read and understand technical documentation. the skills required are programming in VB and / or C# with Systems integration experience ## Deliverables The following drivers are to be written: Security Protege [login to view URL] Commercial lighting / aircon etc BacNet Dali - Dynalite [login to view URL] Energy Devices Plogg WattsUp Meters Zigbee AMI Zwave Wireless lighting Rako Enocean KNX AV products Elan These are a sample of the drivers that need to be written. The process for writing a driver would be as follows: 1. We will source the technical documentation and put it up on our project management site 2. you will read and understand the technical documentation 3. you will work with one of our guys in the office to get the system or device physically connected and come up with ways of confirming feedback - for example a webcam could show you lights going off and on 4. you will build a simple windows forms based or wpf application to test the device and make sure you have all the comms correct and the control is achieved 5. once you are completely familiar with the hardware and you know how it works you will open a VS 2010 project that we will give you 6. you will need to know C#, WPF, MEF, LINQ, Dyanmic Objects (Expando) 7. You will write the driver in this environment creating two classes, one for the driver and one for the xaml. 8. you will submit that driver back to us and we will roll it into the test environment and test it
