I can help you backup the four vps servers and set a cron job with a script to backup the folder daily. all will be stored on the server. what I don't understand is the auto sync you tasked about.. send pm for more

The best solution is veeam free edition. you can backup each VM any time and restore on any server at any time. other backup of folder you can use batch file that take the backup every day and put the back at any place

If you take backup only from VPS you need a solution like Veeam, but if you need take backup from hyper V host, you need a solution like ShadowProtect. I have much experience in this feel free to contact.

I've done backups for a company full time for the last several years. I also work at one of the big 3 tech companies. Not sure I can say which on here, but can definitely help out. Since I work full time, and only do this spare time, I have suggested a 3 day window. But, ideally can probably hash it out quicker than that.
