compiling nbd-server on opensolaris

Hi,

we want to run a nbd server (network block device) on Sun opensolaris (x86). This nbd-server will be connected by an linux client running nbd-client.

Compiling nbd-server has dependencies to different libraries/progs like gcc, glibc, ... which are not included in a vanilla opensolaris installation. Therefore, these dependencies has to resolve.

** Task to do:

a) Creating a HOWTO describing how to compile nbd-server (not client ..) on opensolaris x86. With this HOWTO we should be able to create the nbd-server on a vanilla opensolaris.

I can offer you a opensolaris and linux system with an ssh-access

(if it's necessary)
