Removing user’s account by himself is a potentially dangerous action. In order to protect the user, initiated on his part deletion of the account only causes the inactivation for a specific period during which he has the opportunity to re-activate. After this time, the account is automatically deleted. Technical/Infrastructure requirements - Data stored in DynamoDB - Sending emails through Amazon SES using SMTP interface (not SES API) - Business Logic written in Java on AWS Lambda (exposed via API Gateway or directly via Lambda API) available for anonymous unauthenticated user - Scheduled task based on CloudWatch Event that triggers corresponding Lambda function every minute - Any client: javascript, java, python, ruby (but not AWS CLI)
