Create a web based digital signage player

Need to create web based signage player. The player need to poll server to get the schedule from time to time and play the content as per the schedule. The schedule contains a list of files to be played on the player and the duration for each file. The player should change the file after specified time. Once all the content of the schedule is downloaded it should be able to play without [login to view URL] player should be capable for playing video, images, PDF, power point slide show. The player has to be platform independent and should be able to play in windows and linux systems at a minimum. The details of architecture and server interaction will be intimated to the candidate selected. The candidate should be proficient in HTML5, Javascript and ASP.Net. Should have good knowledge of JPlayer and other similar frameworks.
