We have an existing (small) project which is based on SQLServer 2012 and C# code written in VisualStudio 2015. The project has a 3 tier architecture with a MVC5 client and a console client. The communication is currently handled through a web api.

Your task is to replace all communication handling by Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and write a short summary which explains the changes that have been made.
