what I am trying to do is setup a tracking pixel and save that data in a database the way I thought of doing it was to use logstash to take apache access logs and push them into hadoop. I wanted this setup on AWS you may have a better idea of how we could do this though and I am open to suggestions? I am able to do the front end JS to get the request made for the gif with some parameters so I do not need that done, nor do I need the logstash configured as I will do this once I have setup the front end. All I need is the technologies setup and able to talk to each other

Do you want to have a picture on your server which you include some where in html and be able to track statistics of access to that page with image and have data in your database?
