I need a developer skilled with both Ember.js and Ruby on Rails to make a plugin for the discourse forum software. Please visit [url removed, login to view] if you're not yet familiar with it. Please don't bother to bid if you're not proficient with this software stack.

-The chat must be installable as a plugin for the forums

-No code within discourse can be altered without permission, so this won't be allowed

-It must have the same look/feel as the forums

-It will need to utilize the same infinite scrolling as discourse

-Use the same emojis

I would like chat to be an available button icon on the top menu, next to the private message balloon icon. It will drop down from a click of the icon. The hotkey < g + 1> will bring this same drop down. The hotkey <g + 2> will bring a floating chat window. Pressing the hotkey a second time will revert back.

It must integrate with the user database, and show the user avatar. Option to PM from chat will be done by clicking the user avatar, bringing up the standard PM page.

If you can't handle this project, please don't bid. Serious bidders only. Thank you!

No bites yet. It seems I may have low-balled the price. Allow me to explain the goal of this project:

Discourse is open-sourced software. It's community driven. I aim to bring a slick chat plugin to this next-gen forums platform. There will be NO profit off this plugin. From it's completion, it will be posted online at a decent place like codecanyon or similiar outlet. This is merely to recoup costs from myself, the investor. It will be offered at a low price. After costs are recouped, the code goes open-source... free for all. I'm not rich, and this is the best I can offer for this project.

In addition to payment, you will get the ability to put this on your online portfolio. Make no mistake, Discourse Forum Software aims to be the platform to take forums into the next generation of communications, with the developers looking for a decade plus of dominance after it gains traction. I will also be certain to give recognition to the developer every place it's advertised by myself or one of the developers. If the work is done well enough, I'd be pushing to get this integrated into the software itself.

I trust the extra incentives are appealing to a Rails/Ember developer on this site. Thank you for your interest.
