We require a skilled Python Developer (or team) to create a Web Application for an Australian Business. The application is for the Paraplanning Industry to manage the development of Statements of Advice (SoA’s). We want the application to be built and hosted on the Google Cloud Platform possibly using Google Cloud SQL. You may use Django or another development framework. It serves 2 main purposes..a data repository and a workflow system. We are also developing another tool (an automated document creator) and this will be integrated with the new Web Application. This is a relatively complex application and we do not want to post a full spec here as we want to work with the chosen developer to further develop the spec. We will provide screen mock-ups and other details to the chosen developer. Because you do not have a full spec available, we understand that any bid provided may need to be adjusted. We expect that initially there will be approximately 1 weeks work to refine and develop the spec and agree on a full project cost so please include this time in your initial bid. Users of the Application There are 3 main users groups for the application: 1. Financial Advisers - These are the customers and they order SoAs for their clients. They use the application to place orders (for SoA’s) and to track the progress of orders. 2. QPP - This is our team who primarily use the application to manage the production of SoA’s 3. Paraplanners - These are the people who create the SoA’s. This can include QPP staff or external contractors. Some more information about the funsctionality can be found in the attached PDF

I am familiar with lots of django extensions, can provide quality code: simple, clear and well structured, no spaghetti with me. Also PEP8 conformant, pylinted and flaked. I usually include by default full coverage tests in my projects. I produce at least a weekly report, if necessary more, specially when facing problems. And I am not only Django expert, I have full proficiency at all levels in the Python ecosystem, having used all kinds of frameworks, libraries and patterns. I can produce code for both Python 2.7 and 3.4. In addition I have very good knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML / CSS / javascript / jquery / mvc frameworks (Ember.js in particular), and the full javascript ecosystem, including tooling, libraries, components. I am a FREELANCER (no company!). Please, only serious projects, and professional relationship. I prefer to be paid by milestones, as they are completed.

Hi I'm a python/Django web application developer with 5+ years Django experience and 10+ python. I have a front end developer on staff for Angular/Bootstrap/jQuery User interface builds. I am more familiar with AWS services but Google Cloud will not be an issue for me. The way we work is such. Stage 1: I will work with you to refine Specs and make UML diagrams and models to ensure that we are seeing the project scope in the same way. Stage 2: I will start work on the Database server and backend system, while my front end developer creates Mocks on the User Interface. Stage 3: We will finish the backend and build the Interface according to the agreed specs. I should also point out that I work using TDD (test Driven Development). This means that I will have tests in place for all used classes and functions on the server and can run these each and every time an update is done to ensure system integrity.
