Dear Sir, I worked in Automobile industry where I made design for plastic product design and their Injection and Blow mold design. Many parts scanned by 3d machines, and scan data directly imported on my softwares like unigraphics, cimatron. Parts made my scanning are Doortrim size 1500mm x 750 mm 85 mm, radiator fan of various size, some imported fan profile etc. In you project I can design as per yur requirement. But while accepting project , $80 (10%) project fee will cut from both side, from you and me also. So I request , first we will fully discuss regarding project and make small one test sample from yur scanned data. So if you like , we can step by step can progress in project. Hey, Nice to know about your business plan. You have the right decision of first building your inventory. I have a simple suggestion for you in this regard. If you will be using certain standard parts such as screws , electrical pinouts etc, first try ask your supplier to provide the CAD model for those items. I am sure that can reduce some of your work. Now let me explain something about myself. My name is Gaurav Jalan. I was working as senior project engineer recently with North American lighting Inc, USA. I was designing automobiles headlights and taillights for different OEMs mostly Honda and Toyota. I am completely aware of the kind of work you need to build A surface for such parts. I have now recently started my own company of product design and development and I will be more than happy to help you in your design work. You can check my profile at linkedin as well. I can do all your thickness checks, draft checks, surface curvature checks, sink check, clearance check, Parting line check, and i will also try to get mold flow check for you as well. May be you may not need all these checks since you are trying to use an already developed part. But in case you need it should be no issue. I am working with CATIA v5 software and other add on such as geo caliper for thickness, moldex3D for moldflow etc. let me know what you think. Budget wise I am sure its going to be costly. I have a pretty good understanding of both high a low res modeling and if you need a real quick idea as to what it is I'd be working on or if you'd like a concept artist I also have a keen sense of 2d. However unlike most artists here I allow the use of "negotiable's" where the terms and amount of what needs to be paid can be discussed outside the amount of what was signed up for on freelance which could mean it could cost much less to work on. If you'd like to keep an eye on what I'm working on daily or weekly we could also use cloud servers such as "Google Drive" where you will be able to leave comments of what you don't or do like.
