Cut out objects & people from 30-40 pictures

Final res to be used will be typically 200-500px & hi-res accuracy & fidelity is not necessary. These are not for a catalogue, so are not studio quality. Original res is 3872 × 2592; objects are reasonably full in the frame (attached example is typical). About 70% of the shots are objects, 30% are of a single person head to toe or of two people head to toe. Most are taken against white or pale backgrounds & should be straightforward to cutout using intelligent edge fitting tools in Photoshop / GIMP. A few are trickier with translucent or white edges. All images need similar colour approach. Originals are mixture of daylight & flourescent; white balancing on them is generally acceptable, you might have to adjust some so they all match up reasonably. I am not going to be too upset about the colour matching; cut out is more important. I'd like your original full-res cutouts and also please batch resize them all to two sizes: 500px wide & 200px wide. PNG please, on transparent b/g. Reduced size typical example of an object below.
