Fairly simple project using Oscommerce.
I want to add a few fields to the manufacturer description.
The fix involves:
add some fields to oscommerce database
edit 3 pages to show those extra fields (1 admin page, 2 catalog pages)
So it's a short job if you know oscommerce code already.
Oscommerce by default offers these fields:
...
Manufacturer name
image (thumbnail)
url
I want to add:
image1 (large)
image2 (large)
image3 (large)
image4 (large)
birthplace (text, up to 200 characters)
tribe-name (text, up to 200 characters)
tribe-name-english (text, up to 200 characters)
tribe-location (text, up to 200 characters)
training (html, up to 400 characters)
short description (html, up to 400 characters)
long description (html, up to 10,000 characters)
In the Admin section, on the manufacturer's page, I need to be able to edit those fields, just like I currently can for the default fields.
i think the file is /admin/includes/boxes/[login to view URL]
------
In the public catalog section, I need to add these to the product_info page under the description of the product:
image (the default thumbnail)
short description
link to that manufacturer's page for more info
-----
on the public catalog manufacturer page, it currently shows all products made by that manufacturer, and splits them onto page 1,2,3,etc as necessary.
On page 1, above the products, enter this data:
Artist: manufacturer name (h1 tag)
image1 (if exists, put in div, left aligned, width 400px)
(put this info in div floating to right of above image1)
Place of birth: birthplace
Tribe: tribe-name
Translation: tribe-name-english
Where this tribe is: tribe-location
Artistic training: training
(under the image1 and place of birth, tribe, etc), put this with 100% width)
long description
image2,3,4 (if exists, centered, all on the same row under long description)
Then the manufacturer's page 1 products appear under that data.
---
On page 2,3,4,etc, put this data above the products:
manufacturer name (h1 tag)
image (default thumbnail)
short description
I'd like you to set up your own copy of oscommerce and make the changes there. Once it is all working, then send me the relevant files for me to upload into my own oscommerce.
Thanks for reading - good luck bidding.
