Customize TDO mini forms

I had hired a freelancer to customize my tdo form so it would automatically have the category chosen that it was on. So for example if someone was viewing category A, in the tdo form which is in the footer, in the category field it will be automatically set to category A. I have alot of categories and this just makes it easier so people don't have to go through the whole list to find the category they are currently on. You can view my past project with tdo in the title if you would like to see this project I posted.
The tdo form was working fine however when I tried adding a field to the tdo form from the dashboard or clicked on save in the "hack section" the automatic category field is no longer working. Can anyone fix this so I can add fields and save the hack and the automatic category field will still work.
