An easy desktop application

I wish to have a small desktop software developped. This product is to to build some toolbars for IE and Firefox like Google, Yahoo and a few other companies offer on their sites. The interface of the software should be easy to use, so any non techie could use it and build his own toolbars.

The software will be a "desktop" software, so each user will have to install it on his computer and will not create the toolbar online unlike [url removed, login to view] for the example I gave above. I imagine that the software would just be a simple interface where the user will only have to tick the option boxes he wants for his toolbar, upload his logo, photos etc. and then the toolbar will be created for him as an exe file. Thus, he will be able to send it to his customers or just upload it on his site, whatever he wants. The features that I want to have available for the creators (customers) are: - a ticker, so the owner could send some news about his latest product to all the persons that have dowloaded his toolbar, - a radio player. The final user will be able to add the stations he likes, - a weather forecast (I need to find a site that will offer me this as a free service, except if you already know some), - a spellchecker. For this one, I think the best would be to use one of the sites that offer this service rather than building an embeded spellchecker, - a search engine. The final user would have the possibility to add the search engine(s) of his choice, - an e-mail notifier. Different features I'd like to offer: - possibility to put an image as the background - possibility to change the background color, text color - add a logo onto the bar, of course It must be an easy task for the users to change the news they will send to the ticker on the toolbars. Of course, no programming knowledge needed by them. I don't know if you already built that kind of tools in the past, but I made a quick search on Google with the words "toolbar source" and it is possible to easily find some free sources to start the project, if needed. Please, give me a second quote for an added feature. It would be the possibility for the user of the "toolbar builder" or the end users to add his own buttons to add his specific applications or services. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Windows XP. Older versions would be a plus, but not mandatory. And of course, as stated above, the toolbars will work with IE and Firefox, at least the latest version available today.
