Custom ODBC Driver Development

I am in need of a custom ODBC driver (not ADO, sorry...). The best candidates for this job will have experience creating such drivers and preferably can submit a sample they have created before. We know how to write ADO drivers, but not ODBC drivers. This ODBC driver will be calling our code via dll function calls or COM. (So this driver is a middle ware layer to let us write the real code.) Because of the different approaches that may be used to create this ODBC driver, we will not consider your bid firm until we have had a chance to exchange detailed specs. At this time, you should provide us: a) A spec for what you would provide (based on the needs you see described here) b) A cost for this project as speced c) Description of other ODBC drivers you have written d) If possible a sample of such a driver so we can see your work. e) A description of the development tools you would use. If this will require the purchase of third party libraries, just let us know the details. We are open to this if it is needed.. Of the winning bidder, we will require: a) Non disclosure agreement b) Work-for-hire agreement that transfers all intellectual property rights to us upon final payment We will be evaluating bids for quality and timeliness. Cost is important, but is not #1 in this. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows
