This is an advanced PHP configuration project that can be undertaken by experts familiar with Windows, PHP, FastCGI and the APC cache.
We have some Windows 2003 servers running Apache2 + PHP5 + FastCGI. We now want to add the APC cache ([[login to view URL]**apc**][1]). We've been able to add it fine in an environment without FastCGI. But we were not able to get both FastCGI and APC to work. In principle, we believe the combination works and there is no particular reason why it shouldn't.
We'd be willing to pay very handsomely to the expert who can get this to work on a single Windows server of ours (we'll duplicate the environment once it works). We'll provide remote desktop access to our server to the winning bidder to get this done. Payment will be made upon success only, no payout if the project is a failure. Success means that a trivial .PHP file (e.g. one that only does phpinfo()) could be viewed time and time again, in an environment with Apache server, FastCGI, and APC enabled - and several instances of this file can be served concurrently without any hangs or issues.
As part of this work you may need to build APC or FastCGI unless you find binaries that work.
## Deliverables
1) Demonstration that the environment works correctly
2) A document describing how to set up the working environment
3) A list of all installers/programs/files used to set up the working environment
## Platform
OS: Windows 2003, not Linux.
Apache: we are using Apache 2.0.55; preferably stick with it, but you can also upgrade to latest Apache 2.x for Windows
PHP: we are using PHP 5.0.5 but OK to use PHP 5.21
APC cache: use the very latest version for Windows
FastCGI: use any recent version that works
