This is to complete a programming project which had been started earlier by another programmer who is now unavailable. Project is currently functional and approximately 90% feature complete. Work is only addition of features and the isolation of a small threading issue. Goal of project is to create a GUI to profile how well certain types of files are compressed using the different compression methods in the 7-Zip program (freely available from [login to view URL]). Attached are the original specifications (best viewed in Firefox), as well as all available code and a compiled binary. Steps which need to be completed are: 6, 10, 12. Step 6 requires a log file be output into it's own tab seperated values file. The log file is not used internally by the program, but is just another log. Step 10 would be an extra text box on the "Archive" tab to provide custom switches to be run after all specified extensions have been compressed. If left empty, it is ignored. Step 12 is based on the image labeled "Command Line Settings" (from the specifications) and is a way to specify how the 7-Zip command line options are used as they can change with future versions. The layout of the current GUI is acceptable, and no major changes are needed or desired. Images in the original specifications were for example only.
