Speed-dating is a dating service where an equal number of men and women gather in a bar, and have a series of short (in our case, 6 minutes) dates with a member of the opposite sex. They then indicate which of their dates they would like to meet again - we, as the organizers, find the matches and pass on contact information to the customers. Customers register for an event through the website, and pay online by credit card. ## Deliverables Bug 1: We have implemented a waitlisting system, which kicks in when the gap between the number of men and women who have signed up is greater than a certain amount. For example, if 10 men have signed up, and 7 women, and we are tolerating a gap of no more than 2, then the event will display "waitlisted for men". A man can still sign up, however, they will be waitlisted, which means he will not be confirmed for the event (and he will not be charged) until more women have signed up. Once that happens, he will be automatically registered, and his credit card will be charged. The waitlisting system is working, except customers are not being removed from the waitlist when they should be. This function was working satisfactorily in the past, however, it appears a subsequent code update caused this problem. Bug 2: The registration process works fine in IE 5.5, but in Netscape 4.75 there are two problems. On the site pages, some of the textboxes do not display properly and small boxes appear throughout the page. And secondly, the customer is required to click a checkbox to confirm that they have read our terms and conditions. Once they have clicked it, they should be able to continue, however, in Netscape they continue to get a message that they must check the box. ## Platform Any coding work must function equally well in Netscape 3.0+ and Explorer 5.0+ The website must also function on NT or XP operating systems It appears the files used by our previous coder are: html files - for the web pages php files - for the code tpl files - for the tables inc files - for the emails to customers.
