Access table needs cleanup. Need to flag contradictory info.

I have a simple table that has more than one line for each client. I need to move all the relevant data onto the same line so there will be a finished table with 1 Client_ID, for each client, which I can use as the key to import back into my customer database. Also I need to flag Client_ID’s that contain contradictory data so this can be manually addressed before the final table cleanup. Description of table: Table has date, comment, Y or N, and blank fields. Rules should be like this. Mm/dd/yyyy is over written by 10/05/2003, and blank field is over written by comments. Also if there are 2 field to be merged that both have data I need to get a list of them in some form to be able to manually fix them. That’s it. 30 columns to repete this process with. ## Deliverables 1) Fully functional Access statement or query that will merge a 30 column table into manageable data (All data associated with one client in one line instead of 3 or 4 as it is now) and will list the Client_ID’s that have contradictory information. 2) Simple instructions how to implement this query within Access so I can do the actual cleanup of the data myself. 3) Agree to keep sample data private. ## Platform I have MS Access in a windows environment, but am open to using another tool if available to complete this task.
