I am looking to build a site for a local community(staten island, ny), that can be used as a social network for people/users who live in the community. More importantly I would like to set it up where local businesses could advertise on the site, whether it be posting advertisments, coupons, etc. so the users could take advantage of any deals these businesses have to offer.
It's kind of combining facebook, local news and events, four square, all together but also targeting local business to advertise to generate revenue for the site.
