Creating an offer based website - english and arabic support

Two of the sample sites which are to be used for guidance- [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]

Only the front end – to be in two languages Arabic and English. (advertisements posted in Arabic / English should show up in the language it is posted-)

1. Main overview of project scope

Main website:

\\basic classified site, spanning across countries / cities and categories.

\\user can submit their adverts (paid or unpaid) and view them through their own login profile.

\\Login is mandatory to post advertisement.

\\Newsletter functionality is needed.

\\front end needs to be in english as well as arabic.

Backend of the website:

\\admin can modify and publish / unpublished advertisements given by users.

\\admin can promote a certain advrt through any of the paid advrt options after being paid through paypal by the advertiser. (the charge should be per day basis , and the advertisement should automatically delist itself once the paid duration is over.)

\\admin can add categories and countries (and cities) if needed.

\\Backend can be in english only.

2. The display of the posted advertisements / deals:

Display of advertisement should be with sideways slide, so that if someone has posted say like 8 of adverts/ deals it should display 4 of them in one strip and a slide or arrow button should be clicked to display the rest of the four.

The total advertisement display page should be like facebook wall page (functionality wise)– with a button at the down saying “more:” and then when one clicks on it, it should display more adverts (if there are) without reloading the whole page -(like ajax implementation ).

no-coupon and no-leave a comment functionality is needed.

In the adverts – display actual price (cross it ) and display besides the offer price (like in [url removed, login to view]).

3. Important : Filtering of the advertisements / deals

Default display (main page)- To display All deals across all countries and categories. (shown as like in [url removed, login to view] , but in the facebook wall style as explained in section 2 )

Display of filtering parameters (like countries and categories ) are to be in same position as in [url removed, login to view] site

Top menu- countries should have drop down for important cities (and filtering can be applied city wise as well)

Side menu for categories: It should be 5 or 6 main categories with subcategories (which slide down and open up when the main category I clicked.)

Ajax style filtering of deals or advertisement- when some one clicks on any category or subcategory or country or city , it should filter out the deals on the main deals page without refreshing or going to another page.

4. Basic newsletter feature needed.

5. Affiliate -logic as below

It should have a basic affiliate system , where anyone can join as an affiliate and if he brings certain user to our site and that user purchases advrt highlights , then a fixed percent of the revenue goes to the affiliate who initially referred the user to us.

The affiliate user can see his referral counts and earnings when logging into his referral login profile.

6. Boxed (and tabbed) display of special offers (see [url removed, login to view])

Top box- offer types - Hot (popular) /coming soon/clearance/today’s (named tabs)

Second box / section – This should be below the top box for offers .

Paid offers are listed first in this , then offers listed in descending order of time. (latest first , oldest last)

(again refer to section 2 for display of this – facebook wall style with more button in the end)

7. Banners/paid advertisements

Three main categories for paid advertisements

- Popups allowed- cheapest - offers will have a popup for more details.

- Paid offers- to be placed on top of the list and highlighted.

- Bannered advt placements –
