Buy or Sell Online

Site where visitors can create an account as either a Seller or Buyer. Sellers will be able to upload up to three (3) products. Products will be digital files (e-books, PDFs, videos, etc.). Each product can contain up to four (4) digital files thus allowing for each Seller to upload a maximum twelve (12) files. Sellers will be required to upload a picture/thumbnail to showcase their product on the site (this is what visitors will see before clicking). Products will be sold on the site and will be both categorized and searchable (using meta tags). That is, visitors should be able to navigate through categories or perform searches. The site layout should be similar to [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] in which products are listed in a structured, blocked format (with all of the same size picture/thumbnails for a consistent look). When Visitors or Buyers click on the product, they will be taken to a Product Details page which will list everything included with the product (all digital files). This can be a dynamic page and be used for all products, ensuring the appropriate database information is called out. We can work together to develop an appropriate "Sign-Up" form for Buyers and Sellers respectively. Sellers will be able to Sign-Up as for either a Basic membership or a Premium membership. The Basic membership will be free and will provide less earning "royalties". The Premium membership will have an annual fee but will allow for higher earning royalties. Both membership levels will be able to upload three (3) products. To sell additional products, members can choose to pay extra for each additional product. Premium members can choose to have their product "Featured" for an additional charge and for a set duration. They can always repurchase this in order to continue "Featuring" their product on the Site. Sellers will have an account and profile in which they can enter basic and personal information. The profile will also display a table showing number of sales as well as total earnings, listed by product. Also, a simple chart/graph will display this visually for the Seller. Sellers will also be able to delete uploaded products/files from their profile. For example, if a particular product is not selling well, they can delete it and upload a new one. The Seller's profile shall also allow them to upload a video to showcase themselves. Videos will need to be converted to ensure they are compatible with any browser. Sellers will also have a 5-star rating associated them and will be based on Buyer provided feedback. Buyers will have a simple profile displaying products they've purchased and and the rating (5-star scale) and any feedback (if any) they've given for that particular product. Once products are purchased, funds will be accumulated into one account and then distributed to the respective Sellers on a monthly or quarterly basis (not sure yet which frequency). This will be achieved using either PayPal or [login to view URL] (I'd like to consider what you, the Developer/Designer reccommends). The Site will get a percentage of the sale based on the Sellers membership level. (Details regarding this can be discussed once project is awarded).
