Add adsense to a site

yeah adsense, it seems so simple, this is a Cakephp site and i need to move the adsense from current location to the top-middle of the page but when i do that it just float to the header. So, while it may appear simple its not really simple. I am feeling so sick of it. This is a cakephp site, if you have not worked on Cakephp before it may seem trickish.
