Datagridview With Combobox Column

I currently have an application that has a working Datagridview that is set up to do what I need. I have recently been asked to add a new column that has dropdown values in it and that can be added to.

The current setup is I have a datagrid bound to a dataset returned from a table using the datasource property. I need to add a new column at the front of the datagrid, fill it with a stored procedure that returns values from? a SQL Server Database, and allows the user to type in a value which will add it to the dropdown and all the other dropdowns on that column.

I also need to be able to save the value from each Combobox. So row 1 I might select the first item, row 2 the third item, I need to be able to reference those values when I reference the row.

Due to the nature of the application I can't provide the existing code, but I could work out a quick framework that should give you an idea what I need if necessary.

This can't use any third party controls and removing the columns added at design time or drastically modifying the current layout is not an option.

This is to be done in the .vb format, not in an aspx or web format. The attached file shows basically where I'm at and where I need to get.
