Developer Engineer onsite/remote

Looking to recruit oracle dba / mysql / vmware / Dell SAN Specialist for onsite and remote work

* This needs to be an Oracle on Unix/Linux DBA (database administrator) with experience in performance tuning. Should be very experienced.(onsite)

* This would be for a MySQL person (possibly multiple?) to assist Peer1's customers with database setup as it applies to creating web sites. Probably less-experienced people would be fine for this. There would be a 2-day (?) initial assessment at Peer1, followed by hourly jobs on demand as needed (remote only).

Here are the skills that we need for this assessment:

Oracle 10g DBA

* Experience in setting up and configuring Oracle version 10 on a Unix/Linux platform (preferably Solaris, but not absolutely required) for high-performance throughput.

* Analyze the database-generated query plans, looking for ways to optimize.

* Analyze the data schema to be certain that indexes are set up properly.

* Analyze the user-generated SQL statements for efficiency.

* Analyze any error or debug logs

* Monitor and measure specific query response times. Need accurate measurements.

* Experience in VMware, SAN storage, or Solaris would be a great help.

Dell Compellent SAN specialist

* Experience in setting up Dell Compellent SAN data storage for high-performance throughput (especially in a Unix/Linux environment if possible).

* Analyze the layout, connections, and configuration of the SAN

* Analyze the internal utilization of RAM, caching, and other factors

* Analyze any error or debug logs

* Monitor and measure specific request response times. Need accurate measurements.

* Experience in VMware, Oracle, or Solaris would be a great help.
