Project Description: Scope of Work: Using Lucene Apache SOLR and any modules needed to build me a search engine for my ecommerce site. I have a MySQL database . Use [login to view URL] as an example of the kind of data we have. We want to be able to search by facet, catagory, finish, brand etc... Also use the [login to view URL] search results page as an example of the layout or template needed. We also want to dashboard to be user friendly. Possible future work for changes and or updates to the Search Engine. We currently send 2 feeds to our Site Search provider, a product feed and a facet feed. The SOLR search engine will be hosted with [login to view URL] in the cloud with the results being populated on our site. Your job is to program and set up SOLR so that it displays proper search results using very similar feed examples attached. Background: We are currently using SLI search to populate search results and want to use our own search. Reason: Bring in house Timeline: 1-2 weeks Skills required: Apache Solr, MySQL, PHP, Software Architecture

Hello. I read the project requirements took a look at the attachments. The style and layout will be simple to replicate. I have much experience using SOLR to index and search 2 million+ records from a MySQL database. For the SOLR search itself, Java (JDK recommended) and SOLR will need to be installed on the server. After that, it would simply be a matter of mapping your current database schema, creating the search page/form and a controller to handle the search query and return the results.
