Create a Custom Report From Magento

[login to view URL] is an established on-line retailer. We have recently switched to Magento Community version 1.7.0.2. We need to create a specialized report in Magento. General requirements are as follows: · The reporting period shall be selectable · The report shall be capable of accommodating a minimum of 10,000 skus · The report shall be capable of accommodating a minimum of 600 orders per day with an average of 3 items per order. The Sales Report we need should do the following: Line No. Sku Number Product Description Quantity Sold Unit Cost Total Cost Unit Sales Price Total Sales Price Note: Line No. is the sequence number of the line in the report i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Each line of the report shall have a unique sequential number. Note: A Sku number may be listed more than once. Note: Total Cost = Quantity Sold X Unit Cost Note: Total Sales Price = Quantity Sold X Unit Sales Price I am not sure if we need a special extension written or if the reports in Magento can be modified to do this. We are open to suggestions we just need to generate a report that does the above.
