Audio splicing application or script

I need a simple script (php preferably) that would take .mp3 audio files and splice them together into a single .mp3 in a specific way.

Let's say there are ten audio files in a directory. They are labeled in any way that is convenient for the script (that can be changed for your convenience in programming). The idea is that these files occur in sets, so you would have [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view], and so on. The end product should allow the user to make one longer .mp3 file out of various combinations of these files (always only within the sets), after asking the user which order the mp3 files should go in and how much silence (2-3 options for length of silence will be fine, not unlimited options) should be inserted between them in the final file.

So it should be possible to make combinations like this (just some examples):

[url removed, login to view] + 2 sec silence + [url removed, login to view] + 4 sec silence + [url removed, login to view]

[url removed, login to view] + 6 sec silence + [url removed, login to view]

[url removed, login to view] + [url removed, login to view] + 2 sec silence + [url removed, login to view]

The script should do this semi-automatically -- assuming that the files are named in some consistent manner, the script should "know" that it should do the same thing with all the A files, then with all the B files, and so on, to produce as many new .mp3 files as there are sets of files in the directory. (As opposed to the user having to enter the filenames and so on each time, for each output file.)

Silence files can be uploaded by the user as well, so that silence files would be referenced in the script as "[url removed, login to view]" "[url removed, login to view]" and so on -- allowing the user to customize the length of the 3 available silences to his liking.

This should be programmable in .php, as per:
