We are building a media browser web app in Atlas/Cappucino as the front end for an existing database system. ? See the screen captures in the details section below for look at the demo of the system, in Cappucino, as well as deliverables information.
## Deliverables
Please see the snapshot (two sizes) in the attached .zip file for a screenshot of the existing Cappucino/Objective-J demo application.
The free-floating palettes in the upper left allow the user to drop media (images, PDFs, video) into the persistent 'dock' spaces at the bottom of the screen. ? The empty panel at the upper right of the screen is a Twitter-like live chat window.
The final deliverable is a functioning Atlas/Cappucino/Objective-J web app, with the following interim milestones:
- UI development, using an existing proof-of-concept app as a basis.
-? Create Cappuccino classes for handling media display/playback. ? This would involve building Atlas elements that function like 'Image View', but support the following media types:
? * streaming .wmv video
? * QuickTime .mov video
? * .pdf document display
? * MS Office native documents (optional)
- Integration with our existing SQL database system. ? (Essentially, the Cappucino app needs to send and receive defined strings to/from the existing PHP code. ? Integration will be assisted on our end.)
- Testing and optimization, as needed.
