Greetings,
I'm looking for an applescripter who knows [login to view URL] and Scott Morrison's MailTags program well. Also, a working knowledge of Mail Act-On would be helpful.
What I'm trying to do is (if this is possible) create a system of filing and tagging email that also moves the mail message to a specific folder.?
A key command, either from Mail Act-On or Quicksilver, would trigger the applescript. This script would present a very simple menu of choices which I will layout in a Photoshop file for visual references... the key being that ALL are keyboard-friendly. No mouse clicks (like pull-down menus... never understood why developers do that!) Drop-down menus that can be tabbed into is key. There would be a small set of pre-defined folders, followed by the tags defined in MailTags (if this is not possible we can define specific tags), and finally a MailTags Notes entry field. This last part is key as this will be used to filter the queries. Upon click, the AS sets the MailTag fields to the fields in the script and moves the email from the inbox to the defined folder, marking it as read.?
It would be nice to allow things like "flag", "mark as unread", "make to-do" and "make iCal event" as choices, but that is probably more complex than the budget allows.
I'm open to input on how best to get this done. I will also be posting a few graphic files to illustrate the process I'm wanting to see soon. Thanks!
