We need a script/tool that will spider a site checking for analytics code. After the report has run, we need the pages displayed showing which pages on the site have analytics code and the ones that don’t.
There should be a couple of user inputs available. One for the url that will be checked. The other will be which analytics program they are using. Once we know which analytics program is being used, we can check for the specific code that should be on each page.
We are open to recommendations on how to record the information, whether it’s a file or via database.
The following are the different options we will offer to the user for analytics checking:
1. Google Analytics
2. Omniture
3. Stat Counter
4. Other
## Deliverables
Below is the code we should be looking for on each page based on which analytics program is choosen.
Google Analytics
“[login to view URL]? or “urchinTracker()??
Omniture
“SiteCatalyst code version?? or “[login to view URL]"
Stat Counter
Other
If chosen, allow the user to type in a snippet of their tracking code. The program should then check the pages for that specific code and report.
