How would you plan a project like this? We need advice choosing the technology and approach for a web-based educational project. The main elements of the project are:

1. 3d buildings(from actual blue prints) that users can walk through, open doors, examine objects, etc.. Duplicating the plans and changing the features (walls, building materials, colors, doors and windows, floors, etc.) is important. (There are 10 standard blueprints that account for most of the buildings, but there are some one-of-a-kind and we will want to add more in the future.)

2. Objects like furniture, pictures, appliances, etc. that can be examined up close.

The images will be based on photographs. In the future, we will want to position the houses in a virtual town, and then add user avatars. I looked at virtual modeling kits for architecture, X3D plugins, Second Life, Kaneva, SketchUp, etc. but don't know enough about what's involved to begin. Obviously, we want the best quality, but rapid development and cost are important, too. Thanks

## Deliverables

A brief report or presentation that includes: 1) A comparison of the best approaches and technologies to this type of problem. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

2) How can we plan the project for incremental development? We want to post most of the work here, but would like to do the work step-by-step as our budget allows.
