I have a brief laid out for what i need but i'll keep it brief here. I need a customisable applet that will fit to a corporate standard (not to much just logo's contact details etc). This applet will have options for setting a schedule for a backup, it will link to windows vpn to launch a connection and display details of the connection. The applet should be based around a "taskbar" bar applet and should run from the taskbar as needed from a double click to a popup. An admin page (passworded) will allow us to customise the applet for directories to map one the connection is made, what to backup using the windows drive structure, which vpn to launch etc. This is quite a small project for somebody that knows with the core components being :- [login to view URL] to incorporate and write to task scheduler [login to view URL] a vpn connection, monitoring its connection state and disconnecting [login to view URL] the vpn connection and creating a mapped drive once connected ready for file transfer specified in admin.

Hello, I believe you should choose me for this project as I'm a keen .NET developer and have experience writing desktop applications and services. My expertise primarily lies with back-end programming (so I'm fully capable of integrating with Windows system services), but I'm also able to write front-end software as you've requested. I have experience with VPN connections and integrating with the Windows VPN system, along with connecting/disconnecting network drives - I can provide samples if you'd like. Also, I'll support your software for as long as you need afterwards - bug fixes to the initial specification will be free, and future enhancements charged accordingly. I've specified 21 days development because I want to get it right for you, and getting it right requires time (without any unexpected complications!). This time involves a prototyping phase as well, where you can verify I'm on the right track and happy with what I'm doing. I'll stay in touch with my progress, and keep you fully informed.
