I need a script to run on a BSD unix server which will change the password of an account. The script will run at the beginning of each month and it will create a new password which includes three things: Text + Month + Year.
My goal is to make a password that changes monthly in a predicatable format. I am doing this so some software I am writing that uses MySQL can connect to the server.
Example of the kind of password I am talking about include:
In January: 0104+Za1QQ42_04
In February: 0204+Za2QQ42_04
In March: 0304+Za3QQ42_04
In this the pattern is xxxx+ZaxQQ42_xx
Where the:
first 4x = mmyy
next x = the month number (1-12)
last xx = the last 2 digits of the year.
I want the script to be documented so I can change the pattern of the password. For example I might replace Za and QQ42 with some other text.
