I am looking for a bilingual solution on Linux.

Actually there is an information system running on Linux with Informics backend. Application is running on Terminal Systems and entries are done in both English and Hindi.

I am looking for a solution like GIST Terminal.?

Let us say if I press CTRL then all typing must be done in Hindi, while default typing will be in English.

Tool must be application independent and should not require any change in existing application.
