Directory for rentable objects (php)

The goal of this project is to build a dynamic webpage that allows the visitors to register an object (e.g. construction machine, tennis court) which he will rent (not sell) to other visitors of the webpage. This kind of websites already exists (e.g. [login to view URL], [login to view URL]). As a first step (this project) I would like to have a simple webpage with user registration. Each registered user should be able to record a new rentable object and define how he would like to rent it out (hourly, daily, weekly and maybe other models). Also the price per unit (hour, day, week) is a necessary information. The rentable object should be categorized by the user. For each object there needs to be a calendar -> when is the object available and when is it already rented out. Visitor of the page need to be able to enquire for a new reservation. That's it. No paying functionality needed. This project is really the first step - If I am happy with the development more and more features will be implemented over time. Therefore it is important that the footing is properly and tidy coded. I know that the object categorization and user registration could be created with joomla and some extensions (mosets tree, sobi2). However I guess this approach will lead to limitations in the future. Therefore I will favour solutions which are based on a proper php framework (cakePHP, Prado, Zend, ?drupal?). Sorry that I don't like writing use cases and detailed requirements... use your common sense and visit some of the existing platforms for an inspiration.
