Project Task Summary
1. Convert html/PHP mockups to functioning PHP pages and code page elements using PHP, and other languages as appropriate such as AJAX.
2. Document code for ease of use in post project management.
Project: "Create Game"
The goal of this project is to code the user interface for three web pages for which html mock-ups are provided. The first page is used by players to select game options. The second is for challenging a single player to the game just created. The third is an interface listing the active challenges and enabling players to accept/reject the challenge.
This is primarily a PHP project and AJAX is likely needed as well in order to handle functions wherein selecting one game option affects the availability of other options on the same page. The specifications for each page and function are thoroughly detailed.
All of these pages were previously created by another coder. The purpose of re-posting them is to ascertain if they can be coded much more efficiently and commented better. Additionally, the first page has been stripped down somewhat in its functionality and therefore needs to be modified. The later two pages may not necessarily need to be altered. The previously coded pages are provided so that the winning bidder can salvage useful elements, if any, and replace the remainder. Essentially, this is a re-do of the main page and possibly the later two.
I estimate 10 hours should be sufficient for a skilled PHP coder.
This project is the first in a complete set that will create a functioning online game. This should take two to three months. Additional games are planned as well. Ideally I would be able to use the same coder(s) for the life of this project which will likely have enough work for a year or more. I am not interest in working with people who have little or no experience with PHP/MySQL. This is for experienced developers who can be available to work starting as soon as the project is awarded, and complete it in a timely manner without delay. Excellent communication skills are a must.
