Dutchpipe ([login to view URL]) is a php/javascript/ajax chat system that works sorta like a virtual world. Users are represented on each web page by an icon at the bottom. When a user goes to another webpage within the same site that has the dutchpipe script attach, their existence will persist via a cookie.
I need you to modify this system, so it can be embedded into an iframe, and authenticate users via the get variables I pass to the iframe url.
In the iframe URL, i need to pass dutchpipe the username and a hash variable (which will be pulled from my database of users).
When my CMS shows the iframe, the username and hash variable will be autopopulated with the correct credentials, so when the iframe loads, dutch pipe should automatically log them in.
Phase II
I also want to be able to log users into the dutchpipe universe by simply toggling an "isOnline" field in the database.
Thus, you'll need to program a separate script that always runs on my server which periodically checks who has this toggle field set, and auto login those who are "online" and logout those who have gone "offline".
If looked at the code several times myself, and fortunately, it is very well documented.
I too have some programming knowledge and background, but I need an expert php/javascript programmer to get this done for me.
Thanks so much!
