I would like a desktop application written in Java, that will open a file as a text delimited file and take the data and display it in a window with rows and columns. The application will add two new columns to each record on the list. The additional data that will go into the new columns will be a link or a button that will open a new tab in the default browser and display the web page requested. The web page will require a cookie to displayed properly, which will be acquired by the application in the background, so that functionally the user can just click on the link and the user will see the desired web page in a new tab in the default browser as a one step process. The information in the text file will be used in the part of the URL for the new column. ## Deliverables Here is a functional representation of what the program does from the user's point of view: 1) The user double clicks on an .exe file using windows GUI. 2) A new desktop application window opens with a file menu having "open" and "exit" as sub-menu's. 3) The "open" sub-menu will open a file chooser window to input the text file. 4) Once the text file has been chosen to be open the program will display the information similar to the snapshot file included in the zip file. 5) 2 columns will be added to the screen shot, that will contain either a link or a button, whichever works better for you, for each record in the text file. 6) Each button in the record will open the following web pages using the following URLs: 1)[login to view URL] 2)[login to view URL] The data in the O column, called pin numbers, in the text file will be used in the url's of the 2 web pages. This data will be either be a 10 digit or 14 digit number. The format looks like xx-xx-xxx-xxx-xxxx, where x is any digit 0-9. If the last 4 digits are 0 then they are omitted and only the first 10 digits are shown. The 1st URL will require the acquisition of a cookie to view the web page correctly. The application will have to acquire the cookie once and reuse it for all of the buttons or links in the new column. The 2nd URL does not need a cookie and can be opened directly into the default web browser. 7) When the user is finished he will use the "exit" sub-menu or click on the x button on the window to exit, without saving any data. * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Saturday Apr 3, 2010 4:57:12 PM: This project has been updated with greater detail of the requirements for the application. Please take a look and change your bids accordingly. Thank You, John
